Arrival & Welcome 

Land in Puerto Maldonado and enjoy a warm reception at the airport or bus terminal. Depending on arrival times, relax at our office lounge—enjoy coffee, snacks, and WiFi, and mingle with fellow adventurers while awaiting the rest of your group for eco-friendly group boat transfer.
Riverboat Journey to the Lodge 
Around noon, gather at the port captain’s wharf, just 15 minutes from the city. Begin a mesmerizing 1-hour boat ride down the Madre de Dios River. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking views of dense rainforest, towering trees, and the thrilling call of Amazonian wildlife as you drift deeper into the jungle.
Eco-Lodge Arrival & Exploration 
Arrive and check in to your private bungalow nestled in rainforest splendor. After a short rest, meet your guide and set out for an orientation walk. Marvel at colossal Kapok trees, roaming walking palms, and strangler figs while vibrant bird calls echo through the canopy.
Twilight Jungle Experience 
After some downtime in your bungalow, you may opt for a guided twilight walk. Experience the transformation of the jungle as night falls and spot elusive nocturnal creatures beginning their evening routines.
Rainforest Dinner & Social Time

Start your morning jungle walk beneath towering trees to reach your first platforms, nestled 15 and 25 meters high in ancient fig branches. Then push deeper into Taricaya Reserve and climb to the awe-inspiring 45-meter canopy platform, accessed by an exhilarating 90-meter suspension bridge! Take in sweeping rainforest vistas and spot macaws, toucans, or perhaps even a majestic Harpy eagle!

Up Close with Wildlife: Animal Rescue Center & Butterfly House 

Wander into the Taricaya Animal Rescue Center. Encounter charismatic jungle residents—jaguars, pumas, toucans, monkeys, and more—while learning about vital rescue efforts. Complete your morning with a colorful stop at the reserve’s butterfly house.

Jungle Lunch & Farm Discovery 

Return to the lodge and enjoy a delicious Amazonian lunch—take a well-earned rest before your afternoon immersion into the jungle’s sustainability projects.

Sustainable Amazon: Agroforestry & Turtle Project

Head out to the local agroforestry farm. See firsthand the reforestation of mahogany, cedar, and exotic flowers, and learn how cocoa and coffee are cultivated sustainably. Visit the fascinating Taricaya turtle project and inspect their specially designed artificial beaches.

River Adventure & Twilight Wildlife 

Board your own inflatable boat and coast back to the lodge, taking in sunset hues reflected on the river. As night falls and the sounds of the forest shift, climb into a motorboat for a thrilling caiman search along the moonlit riverbanks.

Board your boat for a final, peaceful trip downstream. Watch morning light dance across the water as lush rainforest gives way to the outskirts of Puerto Maldonado, arriving back in town by around 9:30 am.

Choose a seamless transfer directly to the airport or bus terminal, or get dropped at the office lounge for a chance to relax, use WiFi, and freshen up as you wait for your departure.

Jungle City Adventure: Hop on a moto taxi to downtown Puerto Maldonado. Wander vibrant market stalls brimming with jungle produce, discover local crafts and herbal medicines, and even climb the city’s Obelisk for sweeping Amazon views.
