Arrive at Kathmandu airport and proceed through the international arrival process. After you exit the Arrival Hall, meet your airport officer outside, who will be waiting with a pla-card, or sign board, displaying your name.

Once you have met the airport officer, continue with your arranged transfer into Kathmandu. You will be taken from the international airport to your city-center drop-off point, completing the arrival transfer for the first day.

Kathmandu is Nepal’s capital city and the starting point of this trip.

After breakfast, meet your guide in the hotel lobby at 0930 am and begin your full-day sightseeing tour. Visit Pashupatinath Temple on the bank of the Bagmati River, dedicated to Lord Shiva and often known as the “abode of Shiva.” Only Hindus may enter the temple complex for worship, while others can view Hindu rituals, morning activities, and funeral ceremonies at the cremation ghats along the holy Bagmati.

Continue 3 kilometers to Boudhnath Stupa, also known as “Mini Tibet” and one of Nepal’s largest Buddhist stupas, surrounded by Tibetan settlements, monasteries, prayer flags, and mane. In the afternoon, drive to hilltop Swoyambhunath Stupa, the “Monkey Temple,” overlooking Kathmandu Valley and reflecting Hindu-Buddhist cultural harmony. Finish at Patan Durbar Square, the “City of Beauty,” with Newari life, medieval royal architecture, Krishna Temple, Mahaboudhi Stupa, Golden Temple, narrow lanes, metal works, and wood carvings.

Patan is historically associated with Newari craftsmanship, especially metalwork and wood carving traditions.

After breakfast, meet your guide and drive 14 kilometers east to Kathmandu to visit Bhaktapur, described as the best preserved ancient city and a cultural hub of the Newari people. Many highly decorated buildings and shrines were destroyed in the 1934 and 2015 earthquakes, but the main square still includes temples and architectural show pieces such as the Lion Gate, the statue of Bhupatindra Malla, the Palace of 55 Windows, the Bell of the Barking Dogs, the Nyatapola Temple, and the replica of Pashupatinath Temple.

Your guide will see you off at Bhaktapur, then you continue with your driver to Nagarkot hill station, 38 kilometers from Kathmandu. Nagarkot is popular for sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayas, with 8 of Nepal’s 13 Himalayan ranges visible from its 2100-meter altitude. You have free time to stroll around the place or relax with the sunset view. In very clear weather, you can also see Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak.

Bhaktapur’s historic core is closely associated with Newari urban culture, including temple architecture, royal squares, and traditional craftsmanship.

Start early with an excursion to Sarangkot for sunrise views over Mt. Annapurna, the Dhaulagiri massif, and Mt. Fishtail. After returning for breakfast, continue into your Pokhara city tour, following the planned sequence of visits through Bindavashini Temple, Seti Gorge, Devis Fall, and Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave.

In the afternoon, begin the Peace Stupa hike by crossing Phewa Lake by boat. A complimentary one-hour boat ride on Phewa Lake is included in Pokhara during the hike, linking the lake crossing with the walk toward the stupa as part of the day’s sightseeing plan.

Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave contains a main Shiva temple inside the cave, making it both a natural and religious site in Pokhara.

In the morning, leave Pokhara and drive back to Kathmandu. The journey retraces the same highway used on the outbound route and covers 200 kilometers, with an estimated driving time of about 6 hours.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, continue directly with your transfer to your drop-off point. This day is focused on the overland return from Pokhara to Kathmandu, keeping the route, distance, and timing clear for planning.

The road journey between Pokhara and Kathmandu is one of Nepal’s main overland travel links between the lake city and the capital.

Transfer to Kathmandu airport in time to board your flight back home. This final arrangement is scheduled around your departure flight, so the timing should allow you to reach the airport before check-in and boarding procedures.
