Only Hindus may enter the temple complex for worship, while others can view rituals, morning activities, and Hindu funeral ceremonies at the cremation ghats along the holy Bagmati River.

Continue 3 kilometers to Boudhnath stupa, also known as Mini Tibet and one of Nepal’s largest Buddhist stupas, surrounded by Tibetan settlements, monasteries, prayer flags, and mane. In the afternoon, drive 14 kilometers east to Kathmandu to visit Bhaktapur, a best-preserved ancient city and Newari cultural hub. See the Lion Gate, Bhupatindra Malla statue, Palace of 55 Windows, Bell of the Barking Dogs, Nyatapola temple, and replica of Pashupatinath temple. Observe Newari daily work and browse narrow lanes for bargain Thankas, oil paintings on silk, if interested.

After breakfast at 07:30 am, your driver picks you up for the 205-kilometer drive to Chitwan, a journey of about 6.5 hours along a scenic mountain highway. Chitwan is known as one of Asia’s finest national parks, with wildlife such as one-horned rhino, tiger, deer, and other wild flora and fauna in their natural habitat.

Upon arrival, a naturalist welcomes you before lunch at the dining complex and an activities briefing. Continue with a jungle walk inside the forest escorted by a local naturalist, then visit Tharu villages on the edge of the park area. Tharu people are indigenous to Nepal’s plain region and have their own lifestyle and culture. In the evening, enjoy a Tharu Stick Dance, with dinner included later.

Chitwan National Park was established in 1973 and is Nepal’s first national park.

Begin the morning with a Jeep safari to see Nepal’s wildlife. The main highlight is the chance to spot a one-horned rhino in the dense forest, and if you are lucky, you may also see a tiger. After the safari, return before continuing the day’s travel.

In the afternoon, drive 145 kilometers to Pokhara, a journey of about 4.5 hours. Pokhara is known for Himalayan views, snow-fed lakes, and the reflection of Mt.
